Investment Strategy for Tartan Global Mining Sector Hedge Fund
The investment objective of Tartan Global Advisors as the fund manager will be to be transformational, value-added and an active investment strategy. The mining sector investment requires the fund manager have an internal or external specialized skill set in order to understand the unique due diligence processes and the analytical analyses required to evaluate and make an informed investment decision.
Many of the private and public companies will have:
(i) A myriad of business scenarios in which the fund manager must take into account to determine whether or not the investment is suitable;
(ii) There will be a varying degree of maturity in the business cycles of the many companies desiring investment from the Tartan Global Advisors MININGSX INDEX FUND; and
(iii) additionally, there will be a multitude of differing levels of development, quantification and qualifications of products. Some will be undeveloped, some may be untested or partially tested and some seasoned and successful. In essence, some may be fully developed operations, or companies with and without revenues, this fund will be diversified by a variety of maturity levels of companies (or operations) from venture capital to mature successful companies. The fund’s investment strategy will look at all of these levels of maturity of the private and public companies.
